ABOUT

Sarah Gibson

I became a psychologist in 2004 because I'm passionate about helping people make their lives work better. Since then I've worked across a range of settings with individuals, couples, families and organisations, applying evidence-based approaches to support positive change.

I offer strategies to address both here-and-now life challenges, and the root cause of repetitive cycles. My goal is to empower clients for the long term, with the understanding that good mental health underpins almost every other important goal in life.

My approach is collaborative, respectful, compassionate and de-pathologising. I aim to form strong therapeutic relationships with clients in which they feel safe and deeply understood. I tailor treatment plans to meet each individual's needs, drawing upon frameworks including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Gottman strategies for relationship concerns. Humour, warmth and a breadth of life experience also infuse my work.

Clients can work with me via Telehealth, or face-to-face in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, at Bronte and Bondi Junction. Medicare rebates apply for those clients with a current Mental Health Treatment Plan and individuals with private health cover may also be eligible for rebates. I offer after-hours appointments for both individuals and couples and weekend telehealth sessions are available.

If you'd like to know more about how we can work together, please get in touch.
